Early in her career, Summer was called a media bulldog, and she’s proudly carried that moniker from post to post. She is known for her ability to shape an issue into something audiences care about and implant it into the news cycle.
For the last twenty-three years, Summer has led and developed national strategic communications campaigns for clients, candidates, and public sector and non-profit organizations. She leads the daily operations of Riester Influence, driving new product development into record-breaking growth since its inception.
She serves as lead communications counsel for clients, advising federal and local elected officials, high-profile private sector CEOs, and is frequently called upon to be a spokesperson for delicate issues and crises. She holds a Journalism degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and a degree in Political Science.
